I had porridge with honey for breakfast and a coffee. For lunch now I have this new idea that if you eat when walk, the calories don't count as much. You dont look too pretty either though. I have started to do my lunchtime jobs while eating. This involves talking to shopkeepers with a mouth full and sometimes dropping food while you walk, but it means you aren't so sedentary.
So for lunch I ate a wrap which had barbeque chicken and peppers in it. It's probably high in calories but not in fat, and was only small. I walked round taking shoes in for fixing and buying batteries all while eating. It was good apart from spilling some and being generally undignified but I did not have that afternoon slump you get when you get back to your desk when you are full.
In the evening I decided to go to the gym. The gym is currently a 25 minute walk from my house, so I decided to run there. Unfortunately, my legs and body were aching from the last few days low level runs so I was very slow and turns out that at my pace it takes 25 minutes to RUN there as well. Anyway, AT the gym, I had no more energy for anything cardio and I had missed my class. SO, I decided to get on the machines. I couldn't work any of them really and didn't like to ask so I ended up lifting hand weights and doing 150 sit ups. When I had finished it was 8ish and I was STARVING and too weak to walk the 25 minutes home. I stopped and bought Special K for the morning and then limped home wondering if i had the energy to meet friend Bree for a drink. Hungrily, I opened the large box of Special K and ate it walking down the street. It is the texture of, and makes the same sound as, CRISPS so next time I fancy crisps THAT is what im going to eat instead. Anyway while I was leaving a little Special K trail in my wake, Bree rang and said come and have some soup. Her and her lovely husband Seth were sitting down and their table about to eat when I walked in. She dished up hearty lentil and bacon soup with wheat pita bread and I was so happy. Then Seth suggested we both go out and have some wine almost as if he didn't WANT to listen to our word for word discussion of all gossip and everyone we know, so Bree and I popped out for two wines on the way home. Other friends Odile and Katie joined us later but I left because I still had my gym gear on and smelt bad. Bree stayed on and was vomiting the next day at work. I tell you this simply because it wasn't me and shows that although I drank wine, I am not the biggest blow out. Bree is. YAY.
